I am so happy to be reopening my shop in the brand new studio that my husband built for me here at our home in Slidell, Louisiana. So much has happened since we moved here four years ago. After teaching for another three years , this time second grade, I decided to retire , ending a rewarding 28 years of service.
I have been retired now for over a year. It was during this past year that I began making plans to relaunch Mimi Baxter Designs. Fortunately I never closed my Etsy store. So I dusted off my sewing machine and got busy practicing my craft. After 4 years I'll admit I was a little rusty. I have currently completed a selection of bags and cases for my shop. It's great to be back!
