My husband and I have been so blessed to have 2 wonderful sons, a beautiful daughter, 3 adorable grandsons, and a precious grandaughter. They all bring so much joy into our lives! Raising children is hard work and involves much sacrifice. Today we are glad for all those sacrifices that we made, and marked the occasion with lunch in our beautiful French Quarter.

Cinco de Mayo
Cinco de Mayo marked the last event of the spring season for Sippin in the Sunset. Participating in these events has really helped me to learn a lot about craft shows. I have tried to make my booth look more appealing and professional by adding a banner, free standing display, and another table .
I can see now that I need to add a curtain backdrop behind the banner.

I really can't take credit for the new and improved look. That goes to my husband (business manager) who keeps me on track with the details of running a business. It helps that he is also there to help me set up and take everything down!

New Orleans French Quarter Festival
My little French inspired cross body bag was definitely "festival ready"!
I was "hands free" all day to enjoy the delicious food, beverages, and music!
This is the best time to visit New Orleans! Even if you live here!!
I see a cruise in my near future!

Improvisational Quilting
I am having so much fun lately trying out improvisational quilting. I decided to start small with this tote bag.
These strips are all done with scraps. What a great way to use them!
I decided to make a zipper case too.
This book was my inspiration!
